Copyright is part of an area of the law known as intellectual property (IP). See the menu bar to the left to find out more about copyright in New Zealand.
Other types of intellectual property include patents, trade marks and designs. The government department responsible for intellectual property policy, including copyright, is the Ministry of Economic Development.
